Victoria

Victoria is the apartment we think is the prettiest: a 61 m² top-floor apartment with sloping ceilings, two bedrooms and an HTH kitchen. Its name comes from Hamsun’s novel Victoria. The building was fully renovated in 2021, with modern interiors behind the century-old façades.

Edvarda

Edvarda is in the fully renovated wooden house on Storgata, with sloping ceilings and a cosy reading nook. Our apartments in the building have names from Knut Hamsun’s books; Edvarda is one of his best-known characters. You stay in central Tromsø, with the city right outside the door.

Sult

Sult is a spacious duplex over two floors, with its own kitchen and living room, in the wooden house built in 1921. Hamsun’s names run through our apartments: this one takes its name from the novel Sult (Hunger). There is room for six guests and three separate bedrooms, right in the centre.

Rosa

Rosa is our apartment for two, with one separate bedroom and a private kitchen in central Tromsø. We took the name from Hamsun’s novel Rosa, as we did with our other Hamsun apartments. The apartment is on the ground floor.

Benoni is a bright one-bedroom apartment with large, traditional windows overlooking Storgata. You will also find Hamsun in our apartment names – this one is named after his novel Benoni. Behind the wooden house’s historic walls are parquet floors and fibre internet.

Nagel

Nagel is our compact studio apartment, with a sofa bed and Smart TV. It is named after the main character in Hamsun’s Mysteries. Storgata is right outside – an option for anyone who wants a central location and does not need much space.

Which apartment suits two guests?

Nagel is a compact studio with a sofa bed and kitchenette. Rosa and Benoni have a separate bedroom and kitchen. Choose according to whether you want a separate bedroom or prefer a smaller space.

Where can four or six guests stay?

Victoria and Edvarda have two bedrooms and sleep up to four. Sult has three separate bedrooms and sleeps up to six across two floors. Check the photos and sleeping arrangements on the property page before booking.

Can we cook our own meals?

Yes. All six apartments have a private kitchen or kitchenette. Nagel has a kitchenette; Victoria has an HTH kitchen. See each property’s amenities for more details.

Is there private parking, and when can we check in?

These six city centre apartments do not have private parking. Check-in is from 15:00 and check-out is by 10:00.

How much does a stay cost?

Prices depend on the apartment and dates. Cleaning costs NOK 490 per stay. Select your dates and number of guests in the booking form to see the price breakdown, including fees, before paying.

We live in Tromsø, and it all started with one apartment. Then an opportunity came along, and over time there were more apartments and cabins. There was no grand plan – we became property owners somewhat by chance.
